Job Title:
Events Officer
Accountable to:
The Kew Guild Committee.
Role:
To arrange a spread of events across the year in cooperation with the Guild Secretary.
Responsibilities:
- Arrange and book visits to places of interest, where appropriate, delegate to a local organiser to ensure regional coverage.
- Print and despatch notification of events to members.
- Notify website manager of events for publicity and reports on events that have taken place.
- Arrange annual dinner and notify membership.
- Co-ordinate payment, tickets and seating arrangements.
- Co-ordinate social event and tours on AGM day.
- Help prepare a financial risk assessment.
- Manage papers and prepare them correctly for archiving.
Working Method:
The post holder will be expected to conduct business in a courteous, constructive manner that fulfils the letter and spirit of Guild rules, conforms to all legal requirements, and is consistent with current best practice.
Term of office:
Subject to election at the Annual General Meeting.
